About Us

American Mutt Films (AMF) is a film production company in Los Angeles, CA. Launched in 2014, AMF offers a variety of film services including legal depositions, music videos, professional videos, commercials, short films, and documentary films. AMF's founder, Aaron Isaacs, began his journey into the world of film at the young age of 11 where he led a group of his middle school friends to create a series of short comedy skits. In high school his interests grew into true passion as he began creating more projects including various short (~5 minute) documentaries for several non-profit organizations where he also volunteered and a short film for his drama class. Seeing how these short film projects helped these organizations, Aaron's passion for documentaries also grew. Aaron realized the power and impact of film; it could be used to bring the audience into the world he was filming so that they could experience an understanding, need, and perspective of an organization, as well as gain insight and learn about our humanity, another culture, or segment of our society. After his filmmaking throughout high school, Aaron knew his calling and wanted to better prepare himself for a life in documentary filmwork. To fulfill that dream, Aaron graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2014 where he studied both of their prestigious schools of Anthropology and Film. In his last quarter at UCLA, Aaron traveled abroad and continued his studies in Paris and London. While in London, he served an internship as a cinematography instructor for a non-profit film school (WorldBytes, London, England).
